Weekend Away!

So ths last weekend we had planned to go up to Idaho to play with everyone up there, and then down to St. George to see Britty play in a golf tournament. Josh's sister ended up getting really sick so we decided it was propbaby not a good idea to go up with Lincoln so we went to St. George a little early! It was tons of fun, we were able to stay with Jeff, Kayla and ther boys. We went on some walks, went to the park, played some games, went to Two Fat Guys(our favorite pizza place ever) and just hung out! Then Monday we met up with my parents. They had rented this really nice house with a pool, and hottub! So we did that everynight which was great! We were able to find someone to watch the kids so we just watched Britty play Tuesday and Wednesday! She did pretty good, but it was just fun to watch her and be with everyone! The weather was not quite what we wanted but I love it there so it didnt really matter!

Trouble going to the Bathroom!

A few days ago, I noticed I was not producing very much milk but didnt really think much about it, I just kept pumping and feeding until I noticed i was not produce hardly anything at all. lost my milk... weird I know! I have talked to a few people and i think there are some herbs and a few things you can do to try and get it back but until then, we had to switch him to straight formula! His breath has not smelled good, when he burps its nasty, and he was having a had time going to the bathroom! This kid was like clock work, every morning and sometimes once throughout the day! It had been almost 3 days and nothing, but it was so sad b/c you could tell he was really trying. He would do this like all day, poor boy! He is doing a lot better now, just not quite there yet!

St. Patricks Day

Yesterday I was watching Mary, Chris and Lincoln for just a little bit, and I was trying to get dinner started so I layed Lincoln and Mary next to each other, it was so cute, they were talking to each other and then then kept holding hands. I didnt get the video out in time but did get a cute picture!

CONCERT TIME

Saturday we all got together for a BBQ because mom was in town, so we celebrated her birthday and just hang out! Jenny brought and made the cutest cake... Mom's favorite red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting! Then as the night went on, it became concert time! Brittany was going to sing, but didnt want to by herself, so John came in!

You can tell he was real serious!

RICE CEREAL

It's time... the boy eats so much! Before he got sick he was eating 5 to 6 ounces at a time, and I could not keep up, so I called the doctor and he told me to start him on the rice cereal! So here is the catch, he does a great job of eating it but he gets so mad at me, because its not coming fast enough, so I had to cut a hole in the top of one of the bottles so he could drink it! I was talking to my mom about it and she said this is exactly what John did for her, and then Josh was talking to his mom and she said Josh was her biggest eater, so I guess its in the family genes!

He must of bee super tired, to be able to fall asleep in this position, that or just had a full belly!

SPIT BUBBLES

This has been Lincolns new thing... we spits and blows bubbles! It was like one day he woke up and realized he could do it, so now he does it all the time for long periods of time! I kept trying to get a good video of him doing it but every time he spotted the camera he would stop, so this is as good as it gets!!

2 Years!!!

So much has happened in these last two years... I can't believe its been that long but then at times I can't believe its already two years! These last three years knowing and dating Josh has been the best! We have had some great memories and great things happen to us especially, this last year! Being married to my best friend, couldn't of made my life better! We still laugh all the time together and I love every minute I get to spend with him! Rolling Over!!!

So of course our little boy decided to be early with something... which means watching him closer, no more leaving him on the couch, you know the one thing that would of been okay if it took him a little longer to figure out! I am excited for him and its fun to see him do it! Josh called me at work Friday afternoon and said he was so close, but being a good husband he is picked him up to make sure I didn't miss it! So later that night he did it for me!

Naked Boy

I got him out of the bath, but didn't have his clothes ready, so I told Daddy to keep him warm! When I came back he was just hanging out with his Dad watching sports center... it was too cute I had to take a picture, okay a few pictures!

New York Here she Comes!

Kambria is one of my best friends, that i met here! She and I lived by each other out freshman years and then moved in together for the next year and a half almost 2 years! She was one of my bridesmaids and is now on her way to New York to be with her boyfriend. They have been dating for 8 months long distance and now its time to date in the same city!! Lets just say I hope to see a ring on her finger no later than 5 months... so lets get going Preston! Although our lives have been crazy, and we have not seen each other as much as we wanted, it will be sad to not have her so close!! LOVE YOU KAM, and GOOD LUCK!

Draper Open House

They announced in church they had a bunch of tickets left for the Tuesday session, so we decided to make it over there! It was so pretty and so neat to be in there! As Josh and I were sitting in the celestial room, Josh turned to and said you know what is neat to think about is the next time Lincoln will be in here with us is when he goes on his mission. It was fun to look in the mirrors with him and just watch as our little family has grown!

This is Monkey's tummy time, he only last for a few minutes but he is so strong! He is already rocking himself up on his hips kind of! I got the camera out a little late so he is kind of mad, but still think he is so cute! Ill have to get a bette one later

He Loves to stand rigth now too! Sometimes when i put him down he gets mad becasue he wants to keep standing, our sweet little boy is so strong!

BACK TO WORK

I started back up at work on Monday, and its something I hope most moms don't have to do. It was really hard for me, but I know its only temporary! Sunday was hard thinking I was going back Monday and Monday morning was hard leaving him, then Monday afternoon was hard because he came to visit at work and it was saying bye again! I will say it sure makes you treasure those moments I do have with him even more! Its been even more hard because he has been so smiley lately and it kills me when he smiles in the morning as I'm about to walk out the door! This week felt like 4 weeks, and it must of been because of work, but i will be a little better with the blog!

Loves the Camera

Lincoln has been blowing bubbles lately... really its just slobber, but he has been doing it a lot! Ask Bitty!! So he was talking with Josh and blowing his bubbles so I got out the camera and this was him just staring at the camera! Its like he sees it and gets lock on it till I put it away!

Happy Valentines Day

In an attempt to get a cute picture of Lincoln in his little valentines day shirt... this is what we got! Josh was playing with him to get him to smile and he would until he saw the camera! Great a little boy who already hates the camera!! I at least got one good one! But of course after being fed!

2 Month Doctors Visit

So we took Lincoln in for his 2 month doctors visit( a few weeks late). The doctors said he is a solid strong boy. He said that with how strong he is there is a possibility he will crawl a little early, but i wont hold my breath. He has been late on everything else so I wont believe until I see it! Poor thing had to get this shots, he was pretty mellow the rest of the day and then the next day i felt so bad for him, every time he would move his legs he would get upset, poor thing... his legs hurt!

Hand and Foot Prints!

So I had this idea I wanted to do for one of the frames in Lincoln's room... and I soon found the idea was cute but to actually do it was way harder then i envisioned! First Josh and tried to do it while he was asleep but once the paint was on his hands he woke right up and then would just make his hand in a fist. It was like he liked how the paint felt on his hands and kept wanting to feel it. He was so good and so cute! Even though I got both of us completely covered in paint, I still got a few good prints of both his hands and feet, so i would say it was a success!!

New Project!!

About 2 weeks ago, I got a text from my aunt Suz asking if we needed a crib because they just put there last child in a bed!! It was such a blessing, because Josh and I went back and forth on whether or not to get a crib, or pack n play. We kind of had decided to get the pack n play until we could get the crib we really wanted, and I was a little sad because i did want a crib but knew that would be the best for now! Now we can have both, a pack n' play for Christy's while I work and the crib. It is such a nice crib and I love it.

So after I found out we were getting the crib I started looking at bedding, and it is so expensive. So I thought I would try and make his quit and bedding. I went to the fabric store on Tuesday and by Wednesday late afternoon i had the quilt finished. I hate starting projects and not finishing them, so I get in this mode where that's all I think about. Lincoln was such a good boy and let me just work(he must of know it was for him).

So I still have to quit it, which I can't decide if I want to get it professionally done or if I want to just do it. Then i also made a bed skirt! I really love the fabric and I'm glad I decided to make it. It was a ton cheaper and the colors I wanted, so i recommend it to anyone, because if i can do it anyone can!

I also decided because I have bedding, now i need to decorate his room, I'm almost done, just need some pictures for the frames and then ill post!

Snuggling with Daddy

These pictures of Lincoln and Josh were so cute, I couldn't help it! Lincoln has been sleeping better in the bassinet but still loves to snuggle his daddy!I loved that he was holding his hands, its totally a comfort thing to always be touching us, just to make sure we are still there!

Upon Popular Demand!

THE RECIPE box of Brownies chocolate chips peanut butter marshmallows peanuts optional- chocolate syrup and caramel Just make a box of brownies- if you want to be ambitious you can make homemade brownies(but this is easier) THE TOP Melt together a Bag of Milk Chocolate chips and about a cup of peanut butter- you can do more or less if you would like of the PB Then once completely melted, add about 3/4 of a regular sized bag of marshmallows, and add as many peanuts as you would like. Then mix until the marshmallows are coated with the chocolate. Then take the mixture and spread across the already made brownies, put in the fridge for about 30-45 minutes. If you would like you can drizzle chocolate syrup and caramel on top THEN YOU EAT IT, EASY HUH!

The Forbidden Fruit

Ever since we have started the biggest loser, Josh and I have overall done better with the eating and a lot better with the working out, but there have been a few time we just couldn't help it, we have to have a treat or bad food and we want it we have to have it right then! A week ago Josh went to sonic and had a cheeseburger, and mozzarella sticks. Then that night at about 2am we stopped at walmart and bought a box of chocolate covered donuts.(they were gone by the next morning) We have stopped at McDonalds for french fries at least 2 times(late at night), and then Josh will add a hot fudge sunday. The last night we decided to invent and try this new dessert! It had to be so bad for us, but it was so good! Just in case you guys are worried, no need to worry any more, because now you know whats really going on!

Peek A Boo

The things a parent will do just to make their kids smile!! Of course this was the morning time, and he was so cute! I just love this little boy!

The Clean Up!!

I could not help it... this morning Lincoln poohed his pants more than I have ever seen in my life! It was so bad, there was not a white spot on the diaper. As I was getting ready to change him i noticed on his onsie the pooh in the front and knew it had to be bad!!

Seriously its bad but i couldn't help it, i had to let everyone see so you would know I was not joking when I said no white spots... But if you have a weak stomach don't look!! I left it on the ground open so Josh would just see it, other wise I don't think he would of looked!

My Smiley Boy

This is Lincoln most mornings, and I love it! The video is a little dark, sorry my eyes were still adjusting at 5am! Just mute my voice it makes it much cuter!! I just love this and love that he can recognize our voices and is smiling so much!

BIGGEST LOSER

the egg! As some of you know we doing the Biggest Loser contest with most of my family! We all weighed in at Suz's and on may 5th we will all weigh in again. The thing we are doing is percent of body fat, so it makes it fair, or as fair as it can be! Josh and I decided we wanted to get our body fat tested to be a little more accurate, so we went to BYU and did the Bod pod! You were spandex, weigh in, give height she calibrates the machine and then you sit in this egg looking thing! Its pretty crazy but really cool!

Baby Eden

We went to the hospital again yesterday so i was able to get these cute pictures!

It was so cute because when we were there, and all Collin kept doing was asking to hold baby Eden and then if Adam ever took her back not but 2 minutes later Collin would ask again. One time Adam told him,"I'm going to have a turn." Collin didn't like that. He layed on the ground and said "Dad you never give me a turn" It was so cute! He just loves his little sister!

Couldn't decide..."I"ll have both!"

So finally Josh went and got his draft root beer from A&W. He has been waiting to have this since he broke his no soda streak! So when we got there he couldnt decide if he want just a root beer or if he wanted a root beer float so he had both!

Babies on the Same Day

So it seems to be running in our family to have cousins born on the same day! Yesterday baby Eden and Baby Sebastian were born! Adam and Shannon's little girl and Nat and Kari's little boy! So that makes 6 nieces and nephews on the Petersen side! We were able to go spend a little bit in the hospital with baby Eden and she is so cute! What a beautiful baby, and to see Collin see her for the first time was the cutest thing in the world. He had the painted on grin the whole time, not really sure what to expect! Seeing how good he is with Lincoln, I know he will be such a good big brother

Loves the Bath

Lincoln Just loves his baths. We started giving him a lot of baths becaus of his stuffy nose. The doctor said it helps to clear him, so we were doing it morning and night! We found that he just loved being in there, so now if he has a lot of gas and is hurting, we put him in the bath and he calms right down... sometimes enough to get the gas out. Thats when daddy is done watching!

Collin and Lincoln

I loved this video of Collin and Lincoln on Chrism as Morning. Collin Just loves Lincoln. Every time we we come over he has to make sure we brought Lincoln, and then we wants to hold him! It is so cute, he will be such a good big brother!

A Sad Loss...

Ohio State played Texas in the Fiesta Bowl yesterday and it was such a good game. It was close all the way to the end, but Ohio State lost in the last 3 minutes of the game. It was too bad because they had lost there last 2 bowl games (although they were in the national championship game,s which a lot of teams can't say)but they needed to win this to gain a little respect back. I think because it was a close game they did gain a little respect but it was still had to see them loose. Ohio state played Texas 3 years ago right when Josh and I started dating. At that game I was wearing my Texas jersey and he was wearing his Ohio State one. I will have to say after 3 years I have been converted! I have always liked Texas but was never really a die hard, so I don't feel like I have completely abandoned my team! Plus they are still my second favorite. Its been fun to get into football with Josh, and now we have another buckeye in the house to watch the games with his daddy!

Lincoln's Blessing

On Sunday Josh blessed little Lincoln, and John blessed sweet Marian. It has really been a lot of fun to have Lincoln, and Mary born on the same day because we can do a lot of things together. We decided because there were so many people that were able to be there for the blessing, and the timing of our churches didn't match up, that we would do it at John and Emma's house. I am so lucky to have a husband that is worthy to bless our little boy. The blessing was one of the sweetest things I have ever heard, and it came right from his daddy's heart. We were lucky enough to have our brothers, dad's and Pompom in the circle. How lucky Lincoln and Mary are to have family that is so supportive. I have been so blessed in these last 7 weeks, and each day I feel even more blessed. Thanks to everyone that made the efforts to be there! We love you all! More Pictures to come, I have to get them from my mom's camera! Oh and the cute white outfit didn't stay white for very long... right after the blessing in the middle of Marian's blessing he blow out of his diaper. Poor Morgan was holding him next to Collin and they thought it was so funny and got the giggles. It was so loud John even had to take a second before he continued. Naughty little Lincoln! Oh well, something to remember!

New Years Day!

Mom made tons of treats and dips to start out the new year! I think we all gained at least 10 pounds from that and Shipleys! It was fun to just eat, relax. and hang out, but it looks like Josh, Dad and John relaxed too much. I thought this was a cute picture of the 3 of them! Then of course little Lincoln was right there with them. This is his new thing, he loves to just bury his face. Its a little scary, when he is by himself, so I have to really make sure he is sleeping on his back, or be where I can see him! I love that little guy!

New Years' Eve

We all decided it would be cool to take a picture of the bubbly in all the glasses, mine just turned out the best, so I had to show it off!(David was a little bothered so don't rub it in) Like always we had our annual New Years Eve at Benihanas with grandma, Pompom, Suz, Jeff and there kids. I love that place, and it was just as good and just as fun as last year. After dinner we all went home and waited for the ball to drop. We had a little bubbly to start out the new year, and this was the first time Josh broke his year streak of no soda. Last year, he Brian and dad all decided to give up soda. Dad and Brian stopped throughout the year but Josh was determined to make it all year. He wanted to break it on a draft root beer but couldn't find one close enough so decided to break it on the celebration.

Chritmas Morning

Because John, Emma Josh, me and the kids all flew down on Christmas Day, everyone agreed it would be okay to have Christmas Morning on the 26th. The kids were so cute because they just went right along with it. Santa came that night so they put out treats for him and the reindeer and we all opened our Christmas Eve pj's. Then Christmas morning like always we waited at the top of the stairs for mom and dad to say it was okay to come down. We then went to look and see what Santa brought, opened presents from mom and dad and then like always had our Christmas breakfast. It was perfect and so great to be at home! This year was a little different in that we had our first Christmas in the new house. It was a little weird and a little sad but like dad, it was just as hard for them as it has been for us,but now we can start our new memories, and that is exactly what we did. The house looks great and like always mom did a great job decorating it. She really made it feel like home, which made it easier for all of us to start our new memories there. G and PomPom's

For Christmas this year we were able to go to Texas... We we worried we were not going to be able to because of how little Lincoln was, but after we got the okay from the doctors we decided to fly down on Christmas day! First thing we did was head over to Grandma and Pompom's. It was so much fun to be with everyone. These are just a few pictures I took and thought were so cute! You have to thank Grammy for the outfit, she found it at a little boutique in Texas!

Meeting the great Grandparents

So after talking with 3 different pediatricians, and getting 3 okays to come down to Texas for Christmas, we flew down Christmas day just in time to make it for the annual Christmas at G and PomPom's. It was fun to see everyone, and especially fun to show off Lincoln to everyone. I was most excited for him to meet G and PomPom for the first time. Then the next day Granny came to visit and see him too. I am so lucky to have grandparents that care as much as they do, to make the efforts to come see there grand kids and great grand kids.

White Elephant

Every year my doctor plays a white elephant game, with good gifts. We just use the same rules as the white elephant game but he buys all the gifts and they are so good. This year i did really well... I came home with a flip recorder. It is so much fun, its little enough to just go in your purse, easy to use and holds tons of memory. I already love it! I am glad that I was lucky enough to win this gift because we were debating on buying a cam recorder with little Lincoln being here, but this will work just great until we save enough for a nice one.
