GINGERBREAD HOUSES

Wednesday we went to Christy and Brians to make gingerbread houses. I dont think I have done this in forever but it was so much fun. I put the BIG RED gum on the roof-- I don't know if ya'll remember when we had the huge gingerbread house for CASA with the BIG RED roof but thats where I got it from.

FIRST BIG SNOW

The weekend it snowed here first Josh and I were in Idaho, so this was our first big snow this year in Utah. It was so cold but I will say I do love the first little bit of snow. I think it looks so pretty. It's just once you have scrapped your car for the 100th time, your pants are wet all the way up your leg, and you have slipped at least 10 different times, when it finally gets old!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

So Josh and i decide that we would still decorate even though we are not here for Christmas morning! I am so glad that we did because it makes it feel a lot like Christmas! So we put together the tree, put up some lights and then hung a wreath! Don't look to close mom, it's nothing like you could do but i thought it looked pretty good for a first tree!

10 Year Tradition...

So the last 10 years Josh has alwasy gone home or been home to help his sisters put up the Christmas lights on Thanksgiving weekend! We thought we couldn't break the tradition so we decided to go up the week after and put the lights up! I love Christmas, and it was so much fun to spend time with everyone!

Josh went back inside to get a beanie... and this is what he found! It was so funny b/c he put it on and was like man this one does not really cover my ears, and then he looked in the reflection of the glass and realized what he had put on!

WERE GOING TO THE SHIP!!!

So after a crazy year of the number 1 ranked team being beat 4 times and the number 2 ranked team been beat 7 times, and the Bucks having a good season, winning there conferences and having only one loss-- they made it to the championship!! Josh is excited to see them play in the chanpionship but is so worried they will get killed again! I think he is most nervous because this was supposed to be a building year for Ohio State and now they are going to the championship playing LSU. He thinks that if they don't win this game then the Buckeyes will not being givin another chance to play in a championship game for a long time. I think it will be fun, and that's Josh to just worry!

The Cabin!

Two years ago my parents rented a cabin for thanksgiving up in Heber along with 2 ATV's. It was seriously so much fun and "muddy," so they decided to do it agian. Just like a few years ago, it was so much fun. We had a little trouble with the ATV's- I'm not sure how safe it is to ride an ATV with 3 wheels but luckily no one got hurt !!! It was so much fun playing cards, ping-pong, eating, watching football, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies, riding the ATV's, going on walks, and just being together. It was definitely a fun first Thanksgiving as a married couple!

Weekend in Idaho

This last weekend Josh and I decided to go up to Idaho. We decided to go because Shaunie's birthday was on Monday and we hadn't seen everyone in a while. On the way down I turned to Josh and I realized we had talked about coming down, but were not sure if we had told anyone we were for sure coming. So when Kelli answered the door she was way surprised! It actually made it really fun! So Saturday morning, Josh's dad found us a place to watch the game, which was so funny. It was a sports bar and at 10 o'clock in the morning the only other people that were there was a couple guys already drinking beer. So Josh, Shaunie, Banger and I sat there with our pink lemonades, and hot fudge sundays. It was funny because when we order the sunday the guy turner to us and said we don't have those here. Josh showed him the menu and he laughed and said to be honest you guys are the first one's to ever order that here. We loved it! Later we went to see Bourne Ultimatum- which had a funny story too. It was towards the beginning of the movie where it starts to be intense and the movie freezes up and you can see the film start to burn and bubble up on the screen. So we waited for about 5 minutes while they restarted it, and it was still so awesome. Then Sunday we watch Fiddler on the Roof for my first time and I loved it, it was everything they talked it up to be. We kind of celebrated Shaunies birthday and then we headed home. It was a great weekend, we just wish we could do it more often.

A Sad Week!

The Buckeyes lost on Saturday to Illinois, which as Josh says is a save in the long run! Of course he was sad about it and is still going over every play in his head and still talking about it... but he is glad that they won't go to the Championship game and be embarrassed again. Instead he says all we have to do is beat Michigan this Saturday, go to the Rose Bowl, Win, and be ready for next year. Dad says this is his Psychology for the lost but at least it sounds good!

Halloween!!

Growing up our Halloween tradition was to have dinner out of a pumpkin-- so I decided to make it this year for Josh. So we started Halloween night with pumpkin dinner with loopy and Jake and then we started our rounds. We figure Halloween is not any fun without little kids so we went around to see the nieces and nephews. First we stopped to see David Jenny, and then boys. Then we made it over to Adam and Shannon's to see Collin and last we stopped up in Pleasant Groove to see the Hodsons, John Emma and Chris, and have the hot chocolate and donuts. Everyone looked so cute, and we managed to get pictures of everyone except Morgan. You will have to ask her why we didn't get one of her ( I think it was Morgan being Morgan). We really did have fun and I'm curious to see what time all the kids finally winded down from all the candy.

GO BUCKS!!

This weekend some of Josh's really good friends were in town from Ohio! The Sharples are kind of like Josh's second family! So you can guess they were just as excited for the Ohio State vs. Penn State game as Josh was. We thought we were going to have to record the game and just hang out with them during the day but we found out there was a little bit of a mix up with the time of Thriller so we were able to watch the game with some true Buckeye fans! It was a good night for the boys-- Ohio State played really well and beat Penn State 37 to 17!! Not only was it fun for Josh to have them here but it was fun to meet them. I had heard all about the Sharples and they were just as great as they were described! Brother Sharples thought me a new game that I think everyone needs to learn to play, it's called Euker! It's a strategy game that I think everyone would have fun with, and if you already know how to play let us know because were in!

THRILLER

So as tradition we went to thriller in Salt Lake. This year we went with Tate, Jules, Shannon, Jaclyn, Bryson, John and Emma. It was a lot of fun except the lady on the phone told me it started at 2:30 and it really started at 2:00- so we missed some of our favorite dances and I don't think John and Emma were able to get the full effect and needless to say they didn't like it(not that we really thought John would like it, but Emma did pull the we have been married for 2 years card and have never done this so he went). I still think it will we an annual tradition just next time I'll double check the time, so we don't miss some of our favorite parts!

Occupied

So the other day Christy, Morgan and Kaden and I all went to Thai Pan for some Christmas decorations! Christy was trying to help me find what things I thought I liked best so we could put together a tree. We finally figured it our so we started finding stuff for the tree! Well lets just say Kaden and Morgan had it at this point but all we needed was like ten more minutes. So I grabbed my camera out of my purse and told them to take as many pictures as they could, and it was perfect because it lasted just long enough to get the stuff. So the other day I was going through my pictures and found the ones they had taken! I couldn't stop laughing so i had to make a montage out of it! Some of the pictures are upside down- this is how they were taken. I think they really liked the candycanes- oh and don't mind the random people walking in the store!

YOU THINK!!

I was on my way to work the other morning and i thought this was so funny! I passed the truck and then slowed way down so I could take a picture- I'm sure the guy thought I was nuts. But I thought it was funny because I don't think I have ever seen a truck so full of stuff and so wide!!- I swear at least one of those things fell off before he got to where he was going.

You Are a Yellow Crayon
Your world is colored with happy, warm, fun colors. You have a thoughtful and wise way about you. Some people might even consider you a genius. Charming and eloquent, you are able to get people to do things your way. While you seem spontaneous and free wheeling, you are calculating to the extreme. Your color wheel opposite is purple. You both are charismatic leaders, but purple people act like you have no depth.
Not really sure how much this is true but i saw Shannon posted her color so i thought it would be fun! So yellow it is!!

GOOD OLE' TIMES

This weekend Sandra came into town, with her boyfriend, Tyler! All Sandra wanted to do was show Tyler and do some of things we always did while she lived here. So like tradition we decided to go sit in Josh's section at Olive Garden. This week Josh was asked to work in the kitchen as a CA for those of you that know that that means and you can imagine how fast he took that offer- he didn't have to talk to customers and he got off first. So we sat in one of friends section and he came out to visit every once in a while. Sandra will be here for the weekend but its so much fun to have her here. It's always fun to reminisce and then to make new memories.
Just like the old times!
He looks so busy, huh? I think he fits in just perfectly! Sandra and Tyler

Loopy trying to make rice crispy treats- it got a little sticky!

TAGGED BY CHRISTY

Tagged by Christy What I was doing 10 years ago... This is so weird to think, but I was in seventh grade at First Colony Middle School! I was the only one at the school because John was already in high school and Loopy was still in Elementary. At this time was worried about basketball and volleyball- the 2 sports i played in middle school. I think the most of my worries at this time was making sure I got up early enough so dad could take me to school instead of having to ride the bus. That and i was going through a big awkward stage- we have the pictures to prove it! What I was doing 5 years ago... I had come up to Utah to work and go to school. By this time I had been working at Olive Garden for a few months, and getting ready to start BYU, where I would get my pre-requisites done for dental hygiene school. What I was doing 1 year ago... I was finishing up my last year of dental hygiene school... Close enough to national boards to where I was stressing about it. I think at this time last year Josh and I had been dating for about 8 months. We had both gone to each others parents house and 2 weeks later from a year ago this time, he asked my dad (in the sweet mustangs) if he could marry me. What I was doing yesterday... Watched Ohio State beat Kent State and become ranked #1, and spent too much money with Christy! We bought a few clothes at our new favorite store, Ross, and we went to Tai Pan (yes mom a decorating store), and I got decorations for our first Christmas together. 5 places I'd rather be... last year of Josh's law school Hawaii with the whole family a trip with Josh a beach 5 snacks/treats I love... same on G's chocolate cake! ice cream brownie Sunday great wall of china peach smoothie at taco amigo(that was easy, only 5) What I would do with 100 million dollars... I agree with Emma- Private jet to see family whenever Have a dream house, and a house for everyone in the family to live close by definitely help our parents retire give money to people to pay it forward like Oprah and mom Let us retire and not have to ever worry about money and just play 5 Favorite TV shows... CSI, Law and Order, Alias (even though it went down hill i gave 4 good years to this show), Extreme Make over(I cry every time), What not to Wear- i feel like this show helps me. 5 people to tag... April , Sam, Rachel, Kari, Shannon

Broken Essentials

So on Thursday my blow-dryer went out. I go out of the shower early that morning to blow my hair dry and it would heat up but wouldn't blow. So I went to work with my hair wet and of course this happen in the "winter" when it's cold outside. So today I figured it had been long enough, so i took my shower and used the fan! A little cold but I thought it was a good idea!

Conference Surgery

For some of you this may not be pretty to look at, but i know of a few of you that will be examining each picture. Josh's toe nails have been bruised ever since the half marathon. Saturday night when the boys were at priesthood- Emma, Suz, G, Christy and I were talking about every one's toe nails from the race. Emma finally pulled hers off and Suz was half way tempted until, G with disgust told her she couldn't. After telling Josh about how Emma pulled hers off Sunday afternoon he was sick of looking at them, so he finally gave me the go ahead to try and take them off. Most of the toe is dead but there is too much that was attached- so we didn't get them off, and as you can see we tried everything. Don't worry we will keep you updated! It's not really that bad but for those that have weaker stomachs you might not want to scroll down!

I told you we tried everything- this is how determined he was!

Terminated

So I went into Olive Garden with some friends today, and my manager came up to me and told me I was terminated on Sunday. Which means I am no longer in the system, so 3 years 2 months and seven days of serving other people are all over! I felt like when she was telling me, she thought I would be sad, and I will admit I am a little for the sole reason that i can't go in if I wanted to. Not that i don't think i would have ever gone in but the fact that i can't is weird. But I will say it is so nice to say I'm done with that place! So I guess it's time to throw away all the shirts, pants, shoes, and socks that have the permanent Olive Garden smell and stain to them, and finally be done with that place.

NEW TOY

As most of you know Josh has been on a new kick with golf! Since he has been playin he has been looking online for new clubs, and he finally found some from a friend. They are the Callaway X18 (whatever that means). I know when I am home there has not been a time that he has not taken them out and practiced in the house. He says he wants to keep them in the living room right now because he just likes to look at them, while he can't play with them. I think he is a little excited about them! So Britty you better be ready to play next time you come up here, because Josh will be excited to use and show you his new toy.

BONFIRE

On Wednesday we went up the canyon with some of our friends for a bonfire. We tried to meet up with some of our other friends that were camping out that night, so we ended up driving up the canyon forever to this random area, that ended up being so pretty. It was probably one of the best views I have ever seen, and the prettiest place in Utah that i have seen. We ended up not finding them, so we just went found our own spot. It was so much fun, and lots of fun to hang out with everyone.

NEW CLOTHES!!

Josh was talking about needing new Ohio State stuff last year b/c most of his stuff was getting old, so when he pulled it out this year I told him, okay its time for new stuff. Most of his shirts looked like he had been attacked by a dog while he was wearing them b/c of how many holes were in them, and then his sweatshirts are too little for him, the sleeves come half way up his arm. Needless to say we "needed" new stuff but we did go a little out of control. 3 t-shirts, 2 sweatshirts and 2 long sleeved t-shirts later, we were set for the season and most likely the nest 3 seasons!!!!

Girls Trip Cont...

Loopy came over today, and because we have the same camera I was able to upload the rest of our pictures! I thought it would be fun to see the rest of the trip and be reminded of how much fun we had! I forgot about the ladies that gave us more of a show than Michael Buble! MICHAEL BUBLE, HE's WEEIRD! (KADEN)

6 Months and Counting

Josh and I have been married for 6 months... can you believe it! At times it seems like it's been a lot longer but other times I feel like it has gone by so fast! Either way it's been perfect! Adam and Shannon asked us to go to Park City this last weekend with them, so we decided to make it our 6 month anniversary trip. It was a lot of fun, we stayed at a hotel over night, hit up the outlet stores as much as Collin would let us and then went to the best Mexican restaurant ever. It's called the Baja Cantina and I have been craving it ever since we got home. Nothing too fancy but it was a lot of fun to be able to get out for the weekend one last time before Josh started school.

Football Season

Yesterday was the start of college football, so you know what we did all saturday... yup, watched football! Josh was up at 8 to watch the college game day (i think the earliest he has been up in weeks), and then we were out the door to go over to John and Emma's to record the game so we could watch it after Justin's game. After his game we went back over to John and Emma's to watch the rest of the game that ended 38 to 6 Ohio State. After that we went home and a few of his buddies came over to watch the Auburn game. So yes I was not kindding when I said a day of football.

The Girls Trip

I was kind of sick of waiting for Lindsey to give us the pictures so i just decided to post the blog i wrote 2 weeks ago!! So here are the pictures from Christy and mom's
camera.

I know most everyone that will read this went on the trip, but it's still fun to blog about! I'm sure there will be different pictures on every one's blog but these are just the one's I have, and i think by the time we get them all everyone will forget we even left, so i just decided to post. Mom surprised the august birthday girls with a trip with all the other girls to LA to see Michael Buble! It was such a fun a concert! He was a really good performer and it was just fun to sent time with all the girls. This might just be funny to the people that were there but here are some of our memories.... Eugene sprinting with mom's bag, "When we bloom we bloom" , the crazy accordion player, the delicious desserts, the horrible music playing, staying up all hours of the night, the lesbians at the the concert, the Chinese girls behind us laughing at them too, the cab drivers, the cab driver talking to the other cab driver and mom just pretending she understands, the trident birthday gift, the guy in the nice car hitting on us, me being bold for the first time ever, the 3,600 dollar jacket, the hot outfit Emma tried on and the fact the she had to strip down to her bares, Jenny's blue shirt, Conrad the front desk guy, and the grumpy old cab driver that was mad he had to wait for us.

22!

Can you believe it, 22! I'm still so young but i feel like there have been so many great things that have happened in these 22 years. I want to say I love you and thank you to my mom especially because she gave birth to me, but also to my dad- they both for the last 22 years have shown me how much they love and care about me. They have helped make me into the person I am today, and i could never thank them enough, love you! So this birthday was great. Not only did mom surprise with our trip to LA but also when i got back, Josh picked me up from the airport and surprised me with a night at Castle Creek Inn. It is kind of like a bed and breakfast, really nice and so cute. Then he took me to Flemmings a really nice steak resturant. I was way surprised because i thought we would just be traveling all day, but it ended up being perfect!
