GOOD OLE' TIMES
This weekend Sandra came into town, with her boyfriend, Tyler! All Sandra wanted to do was show Tyler and do some of things we always did while she lived here. So like tradition we decided to go sit in Josh's section at Olive Garden. This week Josh was asked to work in the kitchen as a CA for those of you that know that that means and you can imagine how fast he took that offer- he didn't have to talk to customers and he got off first. So we sat in one of friends section and he came out to visit every once in a while. Sandra will be here for the weekend but its so much fun to have her here. It's always fun to reminisce and then to make new memories.
Just like the old times!

What I was doing 10 years ago...
This is so weird to think, but I was in seventh grade at First Colony Middle School! I was the only one at the school because John was already in high school and Loopy was still in Elementary. At this time was worried about basketball and volleyball- the 2 sports i played in middle school. I think the most of my worries at this time was making sure I got up early enough so dad could take me to school instead of having to ride the bus. That and i was going through a big awkward stage- we have the pictures to prove it!
What I was doing 5 years ago...
I had come up to Utah to work and go to school. By this time I had been working at Olive Garden for a few months, and getting ready to start BYU, where I would get my pre-requisites done for dental hygiene school.
What I was doing 1 year ago...
I was finishing up my last year of dental hygiene school... Close enough to national boards to where I was stressing about it. I think at this time last year Josh and I had been dating for about 8 months. We had both gone to each others parents house and 2 weeks later from a year ago this time, he asked my dad (in the sweet mustangs) if he could marry me.
What I was doing yesterday...
Watched Ohio State beat Kent State and become ranked #1, and spent too much money with Christy! We bought a few clothes at our new favorite store, Ross, and we went to Tai Pan (yes mom a decorating store), and I got decorations for our first Christmas together.
5 places I'd rather be...
last year of Josh's law school
Hawaii
with the whole family
a trip with Josh
a beach
5 snacks/treats I love...
same on G's chocolate cake!
ice cream
brownie Sunday
great wall of china
peach smoothie at taco amigo(that was easy, only 5)
What I would do with 100 million dollars...
I agree with Emma- Private jet to see family whenever
Have a dream house, and a house for everyone in the family to live close by
definitely help our parents retire
give money to people to pay it forward like Oprah and mom
Let us retire and not have to ever worry about money and just play
5 Favorite TV shows...
CSI, Law and Order, Alias (even though it went down hill i gave 4 good years to this show), Extreme Make over(I cry every time), What not to Wear- i feel like this show helps me.
5 people to tag...
April , Sam, Rachel, Kari, Shannon

Broken Essentials
So on Thursday my blow-dryer went out. I go out of the shower early that morning to blow my hair dry and it would heat up but wouldn't blow. So I went to work with my hair wet and of course this happen in the "winter" when it's cold outside. So today I figured it had been long enough, so i took my shower and used the fan! A little cold but I thought it was a good idea!

Conference Surgery
For some of you this may not be pretty to look at, but i know of a few of you that will be examining each picture. Josh's toe nails have been bruised ever since the half marathon. Saturday night when the boys were at priesthood- Emma, Suz, G, Christy and I were talking about every one's toe nails from the race. Emma finally pulled hers off and Suz was half way tempted until, G with disgust told her she couldn't. After telling Josh about how Emma pulled hers off Sunday afternoon he was sick of looking at them, so he finally gave me the go ahead to try and take them off. Most of the toe is dead but there is too much that was attached- so we didn't get them off, and as you can see we tried everything. Don't worry we will keep you updated!
It's not really that bad but for those that have weaker stomachs you might not want to scroll down!

I told you we tried everything- this is how determined he was!

Terminated

So I went into Olive Garden with some friends today, and my manager came up to me and told me I was terminated on Sunday. Which means I am no longer in the system, so 3 years 2 months and seven days of serving other people are all over! I felt like when she was telling me, she thought I would be sad, and I will admit I am a little for the sole reason that i can't go in if I wanted to. Not that i don't think i would have ever gone in but the fact that i can't is weird. But I will say it is so nice to say I'm done with that place! So I guess it's time to throw away all the shirts, pants, shoes, and socks that have the permanent Olive Garden smell and stain to them, and finally be done with that place.

NEW TOY
As most of you know Josh has been on a new kick with golf! Since he has been playin he has been looking online for new clubs, and he finally found some from a friend. They are the Callaway X18 (whatever that means). I know when I am home there has not been a time that he has not taken them out and practiced in the house. He says he wants to keep them in the living room right now because he just likes to look at them, while he can't play with them. I think he is a little excited about them! So Britty you better be ready to play next time you come up here, because Josh will be excited to use and show you his new toy.
BONFIRE
On Wednesday we went up the canyon with some of our friends for a bonfire. We tried to meet up with some of our other friends that were camping out that night, so we ended up driving up the canyon forever to this random area, that ended up being so pretty. It was probably one of the best views I have ever seen, and the prettiest place in Utah that i have seen. We ended up not finding them, so we just went found our own spot. It was so much fun, and lots of fun to hang out with everyone.

NEW CLOTHES!!
Josh was talking about needing new Ohio State stuff last year b/c most of his stuff was getting old, so when he pulled it out this year I told him, okay its time for new stuff. Most of his shirts looked like he had been attacked by a dog while he was wearing them b/c of how many holes were in them, and then his sweatshirts are too little for him, the sleeves come half way up his arm. Needless to say we "needed" new stuff but we did go a little out of control. 3 t-shirts, 2 sweatshirts and 2 long sleeved t-shirts later, we were set for the season and most likely the nest 3 seasons!!!!

Girls Trip Cont...
Loopy came over today, and because we have the same camera I was able to upload the rest of our pictures! I thought it would be fun to see the rest of the trip and be reminded of how much fun we had! I forgot about the ladies that gave us more of a show than Michael Buble!

6 Months and Counting
Josh and I have been married for 6 months... can you believe it! At times it seems like it's been a lot longer but other times I feel like it has gone by so fast! Either way it's been perfect! Adam and Shannon asked us to go to Park City this last weekend with them, so we decided to make it our 6 month anniversary trip. It was a lot of fun, we stayed at a hotel over night, hit up the outlet stores as much as Collin would let us and then went to the best Mexican restaurant ever. It's called the Baja Cantina and I have been craving it ever since we got home. Nothing too fancy but it was a lot of fun to be able to get out for the weekend one last time before Josh started school.

Football Season

Yesterday was the start of college football, so you know what we did all saturday... yup, watched football! Josh was up at 8 to watch the college game day (i think the earliest he has been up in weeks), and then we were out the door to go over to John and Emma's to record the game so we could watch it after Justin's game. After his game we went back over to John and Emma's to watch the rest of the game that ended 38 to 6 Ohio State. After that we went home and a few of his buddies came over to watch the Auburn game. So yes I was not kindding when I said a day of football.
The Girls Trip
camera.
I know most everyone that will read this went on the trip, but it's still fun to blog about! I'm sure there will be different pictures on every one's blog but these are just the one's I have, and i think by the time we get them all everyone will forget we even left, so i just decided to post. Mom surprised the august birthday girls with a trip with all the other girls to LA to see Michael Buble! It was such a fun a concert! He was a really good performer and it was just fun to sent time with all the girls. This might just be funny to the people that were there but here are some of our memories.... Eugene sprinting with mom's bag, "When we bloom we bloom" , the crazy accordion player, the delicious desserts, the horrible music playing, staying up all hours of the night, the lesbians at the the concert, the Chinese girls behind us laughing at them too, the cab drivers, the cab driver talking to the other cab driver and mom just pretending she understands, the trident birthday gift, the guy in the nice car hitting on us, me being bold for the first time ever, the 3,600 dollar jacket, the hot outfit Emma tried on and the fact the she had to strip down to her bares, Jenny's blue shirt, Conrad the front desk guy, and the grumpy old cab driver that was mad he had to wait for us.

22!
Can you believe it, 22! I'm still so young but i feel like there have been so many great things that have happened in these 22 years. I want to say I love you and thank you to my mom especially because she gave birth to me, but also to my dad- they both for the last 22 years have shown me how much they love and care about me. They have helped make me into the person I am today, and i could never thank them enough, love you! So this birthday was great. Not only did mom surprise with our trip to LA but also when i got back, Josh picked me up from the airport and surprised me with a night at Castle Creek Inn. It is kind of like a bed and breakfast, really nice and so cute. Then he took me to Flemmings a really nice steak resturant. I was way surprised because i thought we would just be traveling all day, but it ended up being perfect! The Zoo!
I had a day off from work so Josh and i decided to do something different and went to the zoo. I have been talking about wanting to go for a little bit now, and I'm glad we went... it was so much fun. You see a lot of these animals on t.v. and in movies all the time but it's amazing to see them in person. Josh and I decided we want to get a monkey. Wouldn't it be so fun to have a monkey as a pet. Everyone would love it! The alligator pictures are for David, because we all know how much he loves those. We really did have a lot of fun, and I told Josh we need to go back when we have more time. Although i think we will take some of our nieces and nephews next time, because i think we were the only adults there without kids.

Josh's Dream
Our Traditional 4th Weekend!
Josh for the last few years has always gone home for the fourth of July! Not only to be with family but believe it or not Idaho Falls puts on a great show. This year was just as much fun as last. we got to spend time with family at the traditional fireworks spot (which we thought was almost taken this year... We had another family that camped out in our spot, but we were able to squeeze in- we will just have to be careful next year they don't take it all!!!), and we got to go Whitewater Rafting again this year. I'm glad most all the family was able to be there- it always makes it more fun when everone is there.

Josh's Birthday!
So while we were gone Josh had a birthday! I know everyone already knows this but i just wanted to blog about it, because if we did have Internet we would have blogged about it! We went to the pool with Christy her kids, John, Emma, Brandon there friend and Gus, David, Jenny and the boys, Shannon, Lindsay and Collin, and then of course us! We all had lunch and swam there, and then Josh and I went to one of his favorite restaurants, Tepanyaki! Then I just made one of his favorite desserts, brownies. Nothing like last year but we had a lot of fun being with family. Josh does not always love his birthday, he feels like he is getting too old, but I always love celebrating his birthday, b/c I love him more than anything and love celebrating the day he was born because i couldn't image him not being a part of my life.I'm so proud of everything he has accomplished and the person he has become. He is a great husband and a great best friend!
The best part about the pool was watching Morgan screeming her head off running around the pool screeming, and Christy trying to catch her, so she would go down the pool! SHe went and loved it but getting her there was so funny to watch!
I forgot to get candles so we put tee-lighs on the cake instead!!
Brittany's Tournament
While Brittany was here we got to go up one of the days and watch her play golf. It was hot but lots of fun. i didn't really get that many pictures because i was scared she would mess up. The main reason we decided to blog about this was because we thought ever one would get a good laugh, and totally know "it's just dad". Brittany's t-time was at 7:30 and dad asked us to be there at 6 or 6:15 so Brittany could warm up and so she would not be late. Look at our picture of how crowded it was when we got there.... The people setting up the tournament were not even there yet! Brittany could't even check in! We love you dad!
WERE BACK!
SO 3 months later, what better than for our first blog to be about smart cookie. I was the only prepared one to bring my camera when we all decided to try out David and Jenny's new favorite place, and since we didn't have Internet, you now get to see how fun it was! We need to all do another smart cookie run!

Our Visit In Texas
I know these are a little late and a little out of order but I at least wanted to post them, I just have not been able to find a place where we get service. After our cruise we stayed an extra week with mom, dad and Brit. It was a lot of fun! We got to have Taste of Texas, Sweet Mesquite, Shipleys (i think at least twice), we went to an Astros game, that they won, we went to this awesome chocolate store, we got to go back to the temple, went to Austin, stayed in a really fun hotel, watched Brit's special friend win the golf tournament, and we were able to check out UT's law school. This was all the fun stuff we got to do, but we did spend a little time at dad's office. It was only four crowns later that dad finished working on Josh's teeth. I guess it was kind of a good thing because we thought he might of needed root canals, but either way we were very grateful for dad's help. We really had a lot of fun just hanging out, and it was sad to leave and get back to real life where we have to work!

Our Eventful Day
So today we went through the 8 o'clock session for Rachel's first time through the temple. It was such a great experience and I'm so glad we were able to be there with her for this special day. It was fun to be able to watch someone else go through for the first time, it brings back great memories.
Soon after the session it was go time for Sam and Sheerstie's big day. Sam flew into Idaho a few days earlier than she though to propose to her. Josh and I got all the food and decorations ready, pick him up from his bus, rushed him over to Sheerstie's house and then watched as Sam sweat trying to set up and get things ready. Josh got a kick out of it, because he was glad he was not doing that again. It was funny to hear him talk about our proposal again, and remember how nervous he was on our day. We are so happy for them both and are excited for wedding number 3 for the Petersen's.
LOST

So we have been bad but we don't have Internet at our house and we are not at school anymore to use there computers. We have also not had time because we have been trying to catch up in Lost. I will say that we have not successfully watched all 3 Seasons, and 72 hours later it does not look like Josh was too exited about it. The night after we watched the season finale, Josh came home to type this:
What I Love Most About Lost
I love black smoke that is so awesome it can form into a massive smoke hand and pummel the cool huge black guy to death, but is somehow scared of the electric fence and is apparently unable to figure out how to go over it like the survivors did.
I love the Russian bad guy who can be electrocuted, foam at the mouth and shoot blood from his ears only to survive and be speared in the chest with a harpoon, only to survive and be blown up by the grenade…I look forward to his return next season.
I love how everyone on the island has at sometime or another had a drink with jack’s dad or was fathered by him.
I love how you never quite know if Locke’s legs will be working or not…they don’t work so Boone climbs the cliff but after he falls, Locke carries him back to camp…and when Locke’s laying in the pit shot in the stomach, they won’t work- but once Walt comes and tells him they work he’s able to hike for miles.
I love that everyone cheap shots and knocks each other out when the other guy’s not watching, but they never seem to hold a grudge or ever start looking over their shoulder when they turn around.
I love polar bears.
I love Michael…He is my favorite character! Just ask Jacqs! I especially love how everyone wants to help him look for Walt but he just hits them on the head and locks them in gun room instead. I know if I was a concerned parent who needed to go on a journey to save my son from a bunch of guys with guns who stole him in the night…that’s exactly what I’d do. I’d beat up my friends who wanted to help me and go alone.
I love that I will never be able to get the 72 hours I spent watching this awesome show back…they are gone forever…just like Mr. Ecko and the one eyed Russian. Well Ecko for sure, we’ll have to wait and see about the Russian.

David, you are going to have to talk this over with him, because i'm not too sure he is excited to watch the next 2 seasons.

Test Results!

I found out about a few hours ago that i passed my national boards with an 86. I didn't have my phone all day, and when i finally made it back to it, i saw that I had a few of my friends from school had called. Now, we all get along and talk to each other still every once in a while but it has never happened that they had all called on the same day so i knew our scores had come in! When i registered I was still living at Belmont so my results were sent there. Loopy has been on the look out for me while we have been gone, so i called her and had her run to the mail to open it for me. It was such a relief, and its such a good feeling! I have my clinical's this weekend, and after that its all over, so i will keep you all updated!

Week in the Sun!
So were back from our fun week on the cruise... It's good to see that David and Jenny got on the ball and started blogging again, it was fun to be able to cross paths with John and Emma from a couple of hours in Texas, and from the looks of Justin's game, and the tent in the house it looks like we left at the perfect time! We had such a fun week, with loads of fun stories and fun pictures to prove it! Well like David said, Yes, we did stuff our faces with food, and will have to work off every bit of it these next couple of weeks but i bet we had a lot more fun eating and sitting in the fun, than he did running, oh and don't forget we get to work off Taste of Texas, Sweet Mesquite, Pappasitos, and Shipleys!
The day we got on the boat we missed the muster drill, (this is when you practice getting your life jackets and lining up at your muster station where you would stand to get on the life boat in case you have to evacuate the boat) because we cut it a little close getting on the boat in time, so luckily nothing happened so it really was not that big of a deal. We had our first big meal, top sirloin steak... it was awesome! This was the first of many, and i think the only night Josh ordered only one entree. We had such cute servers, and room attendants, but Benny our assistant server was great. Each night he had the drinks he knew we liked and the bread we always choose already waiting for us when we got to the table, he worked so hard and really was such a humble great guy. We were so lucky to have great people at our table and ironically we had two other LDS couples at our table. One of them was a cute young married couple at BYU and the other couple was in Josh 's old home ward in Ohio. It was so funny when Josh started talking to them because they actually got down to knowing the streets that they lived on. Josh does not remember who they are, so they must of just crossed paths, but it really was fun and ironic to have all of us at the same table.
Jamaica-- We ended up having to port in Montego Bay instead of Ocho Rios, so we debated on whether to drive the 2 hours to the Dunn River Falls, or just camp on the beach... we decided to negotiate with one of the cab drivers to get a good deal, which ended up working out, so we split a cab with the other LDS younger couple. It's funny because the ship information desk told us make sure you only get the cab drivers that are in uniform! Our cab driver Mike had the maroon pants and tie like everyone else, so of course we thought he had to be safe, but we later realized his shade of maroon pants were a little, his tie was a little different and he was the only one without a name badge! Needless to say, we he was funny and we got from there and back safe.
Cayman Islands-- We loved this country. It was so pretty and run by the British so it was not the same third world country feeling. It was actually hard to convince Josh to get back on the boat... He loved it so much and when our tour guide told us that Accountants do really well there that's all Josh needed and he was ready to look for a house. We were able to go on an excursion, where we snorkeled along the reef and then we got to swim with the stingrays. It was amazing how smooth there body's are, and scary there tails were. There little stinger was crazy big and crazy long so it would scare you a little bit, but we just brave long enough to take the picture.
Cancun--We loved Cancun too, the water was beautiful and we were able to rent a scooter for the day and drive around the city. We snorkeled a little bit there but mainly just played in the ocean and layed by the beach, it was great.
We really had a great time, and it's hard to think we have to start eating only 3 times a day again and go back to real life soon, but we do get to stay in Texas for another week to delay the inevitable and were excited about that.
