The Graduation!

graduated with honers and very much deserved, with a lot of hard work

walking across stage

this is where the hooded him

Looking at these pictures again made me have to suck back the tears again. I know we are a very emotional family already but I was a mess. I couldn't help but have a bunch of emotions all pouring out at once. The only way I have been describing it to people is the same as when you have a baby. The second that baby is here at least for me I am so emotional. One he is here, your done being pregnant, your so happy they are here, they are healthy, you made it and its over. I feel the same way with law school. It was so hard, now we are done, he graduated with honors, I am so proud of him but we are finished and its over.
I know there were many that wanted to be here for his graduation and we understand. I wish we could be at everything but life just does not work that way. But on the same hand I am so grateful for those that were able to make it. It really was an effort especially for Josh's family.

The best part was Trey standing in the aisle of the seating, yelling"yeah no more school for daddy!" I think anyone that heard this started laughing, and also Im sure amazed that this kid's dad was down there.
Right before Josh went on stage both dad's were down with the boys talking to Josh. A girl a few people behind Josh said...
girl: : aww look at those cute boys, who are they?
Josh: those are my boys
girl: cute but what's the relation
josh:my boys
josh's friend nick, realizing josh didn't understand the question says:his father!
She couldn't believe it but fun to always see peoples reaction that dont know.

Aunt Shaunie and Kelli

The second Shaunie and Kelli walking in the door they were playing with the boys. The boys were in heaven! I don't think I ever heard them say no to the boys. I know for me sometimes I'm a little tired playing the same thing or even one thing after another, but they just catered to them. I was so glad that they were able to come and be apart of this big weekend for us. The effort was very much appreciated and we loved having them here, it's been too long!

Loving on Papa and Grandma Petersen(Graduation weekend)

Hiding under the bed! I'm not sure who is having more fun in this picture!

Snuggling and sharing ice at the hotel

Didn't take but 2 hours before this little man was sleeping in Papa's arms!

This was the first time for our little Shane to meet his grandpa! It was so much fun to watch him loving on him and playing with the boys. Lincoln and Trey just loved him. Again after spending just a few days with Leonard I am so glad and know how lucky Shane is to be named after his Papa Petersen. I love Leonard and am so grateful for his love and support. We were so grateful to have them here. Kathie is always so good especially with the babies. She is always taking the baby(in this case Shane) from me and I love it. I love my little monsters but its nice to have the break and she is definitely good at giving the break. I know Kathie was a mom of 8 because when she is around she always knows what the kids want and especially knows what helps me as a mom. I love watching her with the boys, because she lights up every time she sees them. You can tell she just loves them to pieces.

6 months, and definitely growing!

Our little Buddha had his 6 month appointment last week and he has dropped percentage wise but is still a big boy. At his four month appointment the nurse had me put SHane on the scale and then when she saw the numbers she told me to pick him up so we could try again. She said sometimes if i don't wait for the scale to register before I put the baby on it will add a few pounds. So i put him back on and she said, "well i guess he is just a really big boy".  The nurse believed the weight this time but big enough the doctor told me he will be a little slow doing stuff because of how much weight he has to move. Funny how these numbers don't really mean anything right, but its really fun ti see where they are.

91% in weight at 20lb 8oz.
86% in height @ 27.75 inches
46% in head circumference(this is hard to believe that half the kids have bigger heads then Shane-- lets just say he got his daddys head!

At 6 months Shane is rolling over, smiling a lot, giggling at his brothers, sits up for a little bit but does not last long, bounding forward, blowing raspberries (which has been an issue because the boys now spit because Shane is spitting), and very much a mommas boy. He is going through that stage where if i leave the room he definitely notices and gets sad. Sometimes its really cute, other-times i wonder how i get things done during the day! Lincoln and Trey love Shane. A lot of the time they will just go about doing there own thing, but whenever he gets sad they try everything and anything they can to make him laugh and happy. Its really is so cute to watch.
Shane loves his food!! Before he goes to bed I normally feed him on both sides, give him baby food, and then top him off with 3 or 4 oz. of formula. I know crazy huh! When we started doing this he was sleeping 12 hours at a time, so it definitely was worth it.  As of lately he is waking up a lot at night. I remember my other boys doing this but it still is not fun. Its starting to really wear on me so i'm hoping this growth spurt or little habit he has gotten into is almost over.

I really love this stage with Shane, he stills loves to be held, but is getting a little better with toys, but i just love him to pieces. I can't imagine our life without him. Deciding to have Shane was definitely a little leap of faith but i would never change the decision we made.

Scooting Right Along!

Our little man is moving right along, trying to keep up with his brothers. You see what toy he is going for! Finally can play with the trains while his brothers are still sleeping.

LAST FINAL!

(studying the night before for his last test)
Today Josh finished his last final as a law student. He still has some papers to turn in by next week, but he has now taken his last final and I can't believe we would of ever said that! Its a great feeling for both of us, and we are both so excited for the next stage in our lives. I love Josh so much and am so proud of him and all that he has accomplished. Next week is graduation, so ill have more pictures!

Cute little biscuits!

So yes were doing it, potty training the Trey Trey. I figured when he was already telling me and was pooping in the toilet, and pulling off his diaper at the park to go potty it was time. Trey wants to wear underwear so bad like Lincoln so that too has helped. My mom and left Thursday to drive the truck to Utah so I have 2 1/2 weeks to just be at home with them( not good for the bank account but I love every second. I feel like I'm a better mom and wife).

So of course I let Trey pick which undies he want, and he picked spiderman. I guess he is the only 2 year old that wants spiderman for underwear because I could not find his size anywhere, not even online. I did find a few packages that had a few pairs in a package of six. He was so happy to see the spiderman that he started taking his pants off in the store right there to put on his new ones.

After day 2 I think he realizes what it feels like to pee and that you don't have to push but we're still
Working on him telling me when he needs to go. if anyone has pointers let me know. I know this is bad but it seemed to work okay on
Lincoln, but I don't really have a big potty training plan, just making sure he drinks lots of water and setting a timer to go ever 30-44 minutes. So like I said if you have any tips let me know!

Just a few favorites

I don't think I could love these kids any more than I do!! Everyday I love them more and more!

Strawberry Patch

Chelsea and I were taking about going to strawberry patch in Alvin one day and so she called and said she was going so we loaded up with Tamra all in her car, no empty seats, 5 car seats a prego and headed to alvin. It really ended up being so much fun. I stopped by my moms house before we left while they were doing the garage sale and I could tell she really wanted to come but was still doing the sale. By the time we got all ready to go she was finished so she met us up there and the boys were so excited to have Grammy there! This strawberry patch was awesome! It's all organic, no bugs nothing chemical wise so you can't eat the berries, it was great! One of the rules was you must pay for what you pick so they don't want you eating the berries in the filed. As you can see Trey didn't really understand that rule! After we paid for them the boys just sat on the floor and just kept eating. we had yummy BBQ for lunch and enjoyed the farmers market. I love that I have friends here that I can call up and will do fun things with me, it really is fun for the kids and I love doing that kind of stuff!
