THE ER CRAZY'S!!

So we thought we would blog about all the crazy's in the ER... Josh and i were there on Saturday and you would not believe the kind of people that were there!! Josh says he was frightened. We were sitting by these two crazy ladies(mind you... they just met) and one was telling the other one how she is bi-polar and how she was just fired from her job. I guess this lady works or worked for the city waste company and she hit a town home but didn't know it, so they called it a hit and run. I guess when they called this lady to tell her she hit the building she told them she had no idea and that this was not her fault, but the guy she was talking to told her he wished he could do something for her but this was he 3rd accident in a year and that they would have to let her go. So this lady said she wanted to try and get on with the school district to drive school buses. Sorry we didn't catch which one she was going to apply for so watch out! So then this other lady starts talking and telling the reason she was in the ER today was because she has been having a hard time breathing and that they think she might die so she would have to get some chest x-rays taken. The funny thing was she had been talking non-stop since she watched into the ER!!We think have the ER was just there for pills! What is this world coming too!

A YEAR SINCE

So can you believe that it has been a year since the day Josh flew down to Texas and proposed!! It was so fun to think about and I couldn't believe it had been that long. I wanted to play the video for Josh but he is still embarrassed by it so he opted not to.

FIRST WHITE CHRISTMAS

can you believe how much snow-- plus there was even more by the time we left

look at the huge icicle we have
(these are the treats we all made for the neighbors and we had to try them to make sure they tasted good... of course!)

So not only was this my first Christmas away from home, but it was also Josh and I's first Christmas as a married couple and my first white Christmas, and boy was it white. They(who ever they is) said that this was the most snow they have gotten in at least 5 years, and of course it was when I was there. We had so much fun! I think Collin came in about 7:30 saying "got get jacqs and josh", so we got out of bed and started the fun. We took a break about half way through, had some breakfast burritos and then finished up the fun. I will say the best was the massage table we got from Josh's parents! It is the best thing for me and my back!!!! Now we just have to find a spot to put it! I also was so excited about the picture i got for Josh. It's the George Washington one where he is praying next to his horse. He has wanted this picture for so long and i got a great and i mean great deal on it so i decided to break our Christmas limit( i didn't feel that bad b/c he broke it too) and get it for hime, and he was so excited!

and the tradition continues...

Had had mentioned to Josh a few times about it being a tradition that we would open pajamas on Christmas Eve, so being the sweet husband he kept the tradition going. We both got each other pajamas and then took the traditional picture in front of the tree.

Christmas... at our apartment

(josh couldn't wait to try it on)

So Josh and I opened our Christmas presents from mom, dad, G, and Pom Pom before we left for Idaho, so we kind of had our first Christmas on the 21st. Josh and I were so excited about the fun and thoughtful gifts, and Josh was most excited about his suit he couldn't believe and it was great because he has been talking about wanting a new suit for a so long. Thanks to all of you-- we loved it all, and we love you!

Going Away Party for Shannon

So we have not blogged in forever and this happened a little while ago, i juts have not been able to get near a computer to blog. Shannon is one of the few people that i met when i first got here. Josh and I have worked with her at Olive Garden and have become great friends with her. Shannon is going back to California to work and then hopefully if she gets accepted to BYU's law school them we will see her back in August... so we all cross out fingers.

GINGERBREAD HOUSES

Wednesday we went to Christy and Brians to make gingerbread houses. I dont think I have done this in forever but it was so much fun. I put the BIG RED gum on the roof-- I don't know if ya'll remember when we had the huge gingerbread house for CASA with the BIG RED roof but thats where I got it from.

FIRST BIG SNOW

The weekend it snowed here first Josh and I were in Idaho, so this was our first big snow this year in Utah. It was so cold but I will say I do love the first little bit of snow. I think it looks so pretty. It's just once you have scrapped your car for the 100th time, your pants are wet all the way up your leg, and you have slipped at least 10 different times, when it finally gets old!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS

So Josh and i decide that we would still decorate even though we are not here for Christmas morning! I am so glad that we did because it makes it feel a lot like Christmas! So we put together the tree, put up some lights and then hung a wreath! Don't look to close mom, it's nothing like you could do but i thought it looked pretty good for a first tree!

10 Year Tradition...

So the last 10 years Josh has alwasy gone home or been home to help his sisters put up the Christmas lights on Thanksgiving weekend! We thought we couldn't break the tradition so we decided to go up the week after and put the lights up! I love Christmas, and it was so much fun to spend time with everyone!

Josh went back inside to get a beanie... and this is what he found! It was so funny b/c he put it on and was like man this one does not really cover my ears, and then he looked in the reflection of the glass and realized what he had put on!

WERE GOING TO THE SHIP!!!

So after a crazy year of the number 1 ranked team being beat 4 times and the number 2 ranked team been beat 7 times, and the Bucks having a good season, winning there conferences and having only one loss-- they made it to the championship!! Josh is excited to see them play in the chanpionship but is so worried they will get killed again! I think he is most nervous because this was supposed to be a building year for Ohio State and now they are going to the championship playing LSU. He thinks that if they don't win this game then the Buckeyes will not being givin another chance to play in a championship game for a long time. I think it will be fun, and that's Josh to just worry!

The Cabin!

Two years ago my parents rented a cabin for thanksgiving up in Heber along with 2 ATV's. It was seriously so much fun and "muddy," so they decided to do it agian. Just like a few years ago, it was so much fun. We had a little trouble with the ATV's- I'm not sure how safe it is to ride an ATV with 3 wheels but luckily no one got hurt !!! It was so much fun playing cards, ping-pong, eating, watching football, listening to Christmas music, watching Christmas movies, riding the ATV's, going on walks, and just being together. It was definitely a fun first Thanksgiving as a married couple!

Weekend in Idaho

This last weekend Josh and I decided to go up to Idaho. We decided to go because Shaunie's birthday was on Monday and we hadn't seen everyone in a while. On the way down I turned to Josh and I realized we had talked about coming down, but were not sure if we had told anyone we were for sure coming. So when Kelli answered the door she was way surprised! It actually made it really fun! So Saturday morning, Josh's dad found us a place to watch the game, which was so funny. It was a sports bar and at 10 o'clock in the morning the only other people that were there was a couple guys already drinking beer. So Josh, Shaunie, Banger and I sat there with our pink lemonades, and hot fudge sundays. It was funny because when we order the sunday the guy turner to us and said we don't have those here. Josh showed him the menu and he laughed and said to be honest you guys are the first one's to ever order that here. We loved it! Later we went to see Bourne Ultimatum- which had a funny story too. It was towards the beginning of the movie where it starts to be intense and the movie freezes up and you can see the film start to burn and bubble up on the screen. So we waited for about 5 minutes while they restarted it, and it was still so awesome. Then Sunday we watch Fiddler on the Roof for my first time and I loved it, it was everything they talked it up to be. We kind of celebrated Shaunies birthday and then we headed home. It was a great weekend, we just wish we could do it more often.

A Sad Week!

The Buckeyes lost on Saturday to Illinois, which as Josh says is a save in the long run! Of course he was sad about it and is still going over every play in his head and still talking about it... but he is glad that they won't go to the Championship game and be embarrassed again. Instead he says all we have to do is beat Michigan this Saturday, go to the Rose Bowl, Win, and be ready for next year. Dad says this is his Psychology for the lost but at least it sounds good!

Halloween!!

Growing up our Halloween tradition was to have dinner out of a pumpkin-- so I decided to make it this year for Josh. So we started Halloween night with pumpkin dinner with loopy and Jake and then we started our rounds. We figure Halloween is not any fun without little kids so we went around to see the nieces and nephews. First we stopped to see David Jenny, and then boys. Then we made it over to Adam and Shannon's to see Collin and last we stopped up in Pleasant Groove to see the Hodsons, John Emma and Chris, and have the hot chocolate and donuts. Everyone looked so cute, and we managed to get pictures of everyone except Morgan. You will have to ask her why we didn't get one of her ( I think it was Morgan being Morgan). We really did have fun and I'm curious to see what time all the kids finally winded down from all the candy.

GO BUCKS!!

This weekend some of Josh's really good friends were in town from Ohio! The Sharples are kind of like Josh's second family! So you can guess they were just as excited for the Ohio State vs. Penn State game as Josh was. We thought we were going to have to record the game and just hang out with them during the day but we found out there was a little bit of a mix up with the time of Thriller so we were able to watch the game with some true Buckeye fans! It was a good night for the boys-- Ohio State played really well and beat Penn State 37 to 17!! Not only was it fun for Josh to have them here but it was fun to meet them. I had heard all about the Sharples and they were just as great as they were described! Brother Sharples thought me a new game that I think everyone needs to learn to play, it's called Euker! It's a strategy game that I think everyone would have fun with, and if you already know how to play let us know because were in!

THRILLER

So as tradition we went to thriller in Salt Lake. This year we went with Tate, Jules, Shannon, Jaclyn, Bryson, John and Emma. It was a lot of fun except the lady on the phone told me it started at 2:30 and it really started at 2:00- so we missed some of our favorite dances and I don't think John and Emma were able to get the full effect and needless to say they didn't like it(not that we really thought John would like it, but Emma did pull the we have been married for 2 years card and have never done this so he went). I still think it will we an annual tradition just next time I'll double check the time, so we don't miss some of our favorite parts!

Occupied

So the other day Christy, Morgan and Kaden and I all went to Thai Pan for some Christmas decorations! Christy was trying to help me find what things I thought I liked best so we could put together a tree. We finally figured it our so we started finding stuff for the tree! Well lets just say Kaden and Morgan had it at this point but all we needed was like ten more minutes. So I grabbed my camera out of my purse and told them to take as many pictures as they could, and it was perfect because it lasted just long enough to get the stuff. So the other day I was going through my pictures and found the ones they had taken! I couldn't stop laughing so i had to make a montage out of it! Some of the pictures are upside down- this is how they were taken. I think they really liked the candycanes- oh and don't mind the random people walking in the store!

YOU THINK!!

I was on my way to work the other morning and i thought this was so funny! I passed the truck and then slowed way down so I could take a picture- I'm sure the guy thought I was nuts. But I thought it was funny because I don't think I have ever seen a truck so full of stuff and so wide!!- I swear at least one of those things fell off before he got to where he was going.
