GLUCOSE TEST

So today I had to take the test an drink the drink... you know THE DRINK! The drink that everyone told me was horrible and i would hate and dread every pregnancy! To be honest it was not that bad. I will have to say the bruise on my arm, where they had to draw blood was probably the worst part. Maybe i just don't have very heightened tasted buds, or maybe I just knew it was going to be awful and so I prepared myself too much. Who knows? Either way I think it kind of tasted like fruit punch. Maybe not the best fruit punch, and I probably wouldn't pick it out at the gas station as something to quench my thirst, but not too bad!

25 Week Belly Shot!

This is our friend Amber, we play all the intramural with her and her husband and she is due the same time as Emma and I with her first!!
So can you believe its already been another month! It was time for Emma and I's monthly belly shot! I cant believe how much has change in a little over a month. I feel like my belly is huge and there is no where for it to go but out! I guess that's what happens when your short, and pregnant!

JAMIN!!

Another year, Christy and I made our strawberry jam together! It makes me feel domestic, and love to eat it! I already had my first few sandwiches this week, and it was just what I had rememebr it, Full of sugar but so good!

THE ZOO!

On Thursday we able to watch Collin for the afternoon so we went

to the zoo, or as Collin would call it, the gazo! John and Gus were without Emma for the week and probably so bored so they came with us! It was very hot, but the boys only lasted for a few hours anyways, so it ended up being perfect!

Playing with Collin

Yesterday after our softball game, that we won, we got to watch Collin! We were asking all kinds of stuff to do, like swimming, wave pool, something to eat, miniature golf, I felt like everything but then he popped up and said "wanna go bowling and then shoot the animals." There is an arcade hunting game at Fat Cats, that I think he has played once when we took him there before, that apparently he loves. Amazing kids associations. So Sam, Sheerstie, Josh and I all went to go bowl, and then made it to Dairy Queen, because Collin wanted a Hot Dog for lunch, and you can never go wrong with dairy queens ice cream. We then wanted to head up to Cedar Hills for there carnival, but after Collin woke up from his nap and we got up there it was over. That was okay because he had fun jumping on the tramp, climbing on the rocks, going in the little room, singing into the mic, playing with all the kids at Suz's. We decided to do some of our own fireworks... a little windy but it was still a lot of fun. The little kid in Josh always comes out evertime we do this. Then we were waiting for the big fireworks to start but it was nasty windy, ligthning, thunder, and raining. After 1030 they called it off and postpond till Monday, so until then.

24th of July

I had work off and Josh didn't have class so all day, we just played, played and played some more, but i didn't take one picture! ill have to steal some from everyone else. First Josh and John woke up for there 6am tee time. Those boys are crazy but Josh keeps saying this is his new favorite time! After there golf game we went to little cafe in North Oren- Callie's cafe, and it was so good. I think my new favorite breakfast place. Then we went to the pool for like 5 hours, finally got a little bit of color and It felt so good to just sit in the cool water. After the pool we went back down to Provo to play in a little pick up softball game. It started out as BP for out first tournament game on Saturday but then we had enough people to play a little game. After the game we went up to Suz's to watch some fireworks. I guess there is this guy that gets $300 dollar donations from his neighbors and puts on a show every year. It was right in Suz and Jeffs backyard, so it was a perfect view and they were really good. By this time I was about done! I had to get up the next morning for work at 7, and it came all too quick. But it was a really fun day... Josh asked me : you know those days that everything is just going right? Today is one of those days"

ULTRASOUND

On July 11Th we had our first ultrasound!! I know a little late posting but i wanted to make sure and post about it. It was so much fun! We first walked into the room and said"were not finding out" I knew if we didn't say it right away then we might be tempted later! The lady was very shocked, and said you don't really hear about that too much around here. She check all the major organs, the placenta, let us see the heart beat, the 4 chambers of the heart, hands, feet and it was amazing what a machine like that can see and do. It was really neat to sit in there with Josh and be able to see our little baby... and a blessing to hear the lady tell us the baby is looking healthy! After the ultrasound was over, Josh asked the tech... so do you know what it is? She said she thinks she might of got a little glimpse but she said she steered clear from there. Everyone keeps asking, so are you glad you didn't find out? I think either way is so much fun, but I'm glad we didn't find out because i think it will make it hat much more exciting in the delivery room, and it will be fun to have the family come to the hospital to see what it is! I'm also glad we had our minds made up before we went in, or I think it would of made it that much harder.

Out with the Girls

Yesterday was Kambria's birthday, so we went out with a few a of her friends to Happy Sumo. It was a lot of fun to put on something other than scrubs and go out to eat with the girls. It was also a lot of fun to see Kelly and hang out with her.

Belly Shot

So like we said we would do... Mine and Emma's belly shot at about 21 weeks.

FOURTH OF JULY '08

Another year... Our annual fourth of july trip to Idaho Falls. For the last who knows how many years the Petersens have found the best place to watch fireworks. Shaunie, Kelly, Megan, Kelli and Dad all woke up at 6 and staked it out, to make sure we got that spot. We went a little lated this year than normal but we still went around 1, played some frisby, catch, rode our bikes, and played the longest game of catch phrase I think I have ever played. It was not as long as we would of wished it to be but it was still a lot of fun!

Foam Pit

So this weekend we were up in Idaho for our annual Fourth of July trip. One of the days we decided to go to this gymnastics place and play on the equipment, and jump in the foam pit!My favorite was watching everyone take forever to try and get out of the foam pit, its harder than it looks. It was fun to watch what little things everyone had picked up from watching gymnastics and see there attempt to copy it. You definitely have a greater appreciation for the strength and ability those gymnasts have ( way to go Kasey and Morgan). And they only thing that makes you nervous is watching two brothers get together in a place like that and have there minds start to churn. Josh and Sam were like little kids in a candy store, trying anything, no matter how impossible it was, it became there goal to succeed. I kind of had to sit back and not really do anything crazy, I'm not sure the baby would of loved it if i jumped on him/her but I guess that's just one of those things that's part of it, so i got to take the pictures! The video was funny because this was every ones attempt to run and jump in the pit but to be as horizontal as possible. Don't let Megan's turn trick you, it was supposed to be horizontal not vertical!!

BABY NAMES

Yesterday we went over to Brian and Christy's house and while we were there Morgan decided to get out paper and pencil and write down the baby names she likes for us. We thought it was so cute, and loved the spellings! Theses are just a few of the funny ones. She was so cute, she told us before we left that if there were some on the list we didn't like we could just cross it off, and we didn't have to use it.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY JOSH!!

28 and counting... Monday was Josh's 28th birthday!! I took off part of work that day to spend time with him and I'm so glad I did. We had a fun day. We went to Seven Peaks with Collin, Emma and Chris for a few hours. Then Josh and I went up to Salt Lake for dinner. We went to Ruths Chris Steak House, one of the best resturants we have ever been to. After dinner we went over the Adam and Shannon's house for cake and ice cream. We got an ice cream cake from cold stone, and it was so good. I can't beleive it's been another year. Im glad that we are able to celebrate the day he was born. I am so grateful for him,a nd grateful for all the he has accoplished, and plans to accoplish. I love all the little things about him, I couldn't imagine life without him. He is such a great husband, alwasys willing to do things for other people and is my best friend. I have never laughed so much with one person. I love you Josh, Happy Birthday.

St. George

So this last weekend we went to St. George to play and visit our friends Jeff and Kayla. It was 106 on Friday, but that was okay because we were at the lake and it felt so good to be in the water and out in the sun. We rented some inflatable kayaks and went across the entire lake(well that's what it felt like). The boys went cliff jumping, even there 2 year old little boy, Cru, and we swam around in this little bay. We started to head back and me and Josh's kayak started to fill with water. At first it didn't seem like too much because you get water from splashing, until it was covering half our legs and we were going in circles, because there was too much water. Of course this didn't happen until we were in the middle. We headed to the edge, tried to lift it out and were just going to walk it. Ya, that didn't work. So I got out went to shore to try and find someone with something motorized to save Josh, while he tried to swim it back. A guy in a wave runner came to the rescue. I think filling up with water just made it that much more fun! Its all about the experience. Josh, Jake, Loopy, and I all went golfing, we had a pool party, ate some good pizza, tried to go play sand volleyball, twice, and really just hung out. It was so much fun... thanks again Jeff and Kayla for letting us stay with you, its always hard to leave when we come and play. Ill post pictures later!!!

Fathers Day

For fathers day i couldn't help but get him buckeye stuff for our baby-to-be. Josh has already asked that when the baby comes home from the hospital, if he/she could wear a buckeye outfit. He said because it will be football season and it would be perfect. I don't think it would of really matter if it was June- he still would of wanted him/her to come home wearing something Ohio state. Of course i agreed but I told him that if its a girl she has to be wearing a red bow!! He thinks it will be so cute! I am so excited for Josh to be a dad! He is so good with kids and if you haven't noticed he has a big soft spot. This is one of my favorite things about Josh and one of the most important things I wanted in my husband. I love him to death!

We were lucky to be able to spend fathers day with my dad this year. I think its been a while since i have actually been with my dad on fathers day. We are grateful for both our dads. They both mean the world to us and we are so lucky to learn from two of the most important people in our lives.

STOMP

(thanks sheerstie for posting so I could steal the pictures)
Josh, Sam, Sheerstie and I all went to STOMP this weekend. It was one of the best shows I have been too. It was so entertaining, and amazing the different ideas people have to make percussion. They used match boxes, sinks with water, barrels, basketballs, brooms, water, sand, pans, you name it. I think the best part was wondering what new object they would going to use the next act. I would recommend this to anyone!!

Metting Baby Hallie

Last weekend we were able to go up to Idaho to see baby Hallie for the first time!! She was born the weekend I went to California and then we were gone the next few weekends so this was the first chance we had to see her. She is so cute, and seems to be a really good baby! Easy for me to say, I'm not the one up with her at night!! On Sunday Steve Blessed her, and she looked even cuter in her all white dress!

Famous leg pump... to help get out the gas!

If this does not make a pregnant wife get teary eyed , I don't know what will!

When my first nephew was born, i decided to make it tradition to make each of the nieces and nephews a little blanket. I think we I got the idea I didn't think that soon I would have lots of nieces and nephews, which means lots of blankets. It's been fun to make them, and here is the 9th blanket with more on the way!

Games Nigth!! Mom told us that her 3rd graders made there Jenga tower 17 inches high... so we were determined to beat it! We finally made it, and beat it at 18 inches. You forget how much fun these kind of games are!

Little One on the Way!!

So on March 11Th I took the pregnancy test that told us we were expecting. We were in Texas for my moms birthday and took probably 3 different tests until we found the one we liked. After the miscarriage in January this came as a surprise and a little more emotional then expected, but we are so excited now and cant wait for our little one to get here. Because we were down in Texas we decided to tell the family we were expecting!! It was a fun surprise especially on Mom's birthday but i think the best part is that very same day Emma announced that she was pregnant too. She and I are about 4 days from each others due date and its been fun so far to compare and go threw it with her.

I am about 15 weeks pregnant and finally not throwing up anymore. As crazy as it is to say it has been a blessing for us to be sick, because with the first one I was not sick at all. I really think that being sick has helped calm both of our nerves, and makes it even more exciting for us.

Josh has been so good to me. He hardly lets me do much, as far as lefting heavy things, he cleans the house almost always, rubs my back and feet almost every day, goes and buys me snacks to make sure I alwasy have something to eat, does the laundry and does the best he can at rubbing my back when i'm throwing up. Poor thing has the worse gag reflexes, and I think has thrown up a few times with me. I think the words "this is the last one" came out a few times, but I really think I wouldn't of been able to get through it without him. Now that I'm feeling a lot better he will ask do you think we could have more after this one... Love him!

STATE in AUSTIN!

This is a little after the fact but I wanted to make sure that anyone who didn't know saw that out little sister went to state for golf. Out of 6 kids in our family, Brittany was the only kid that made it to state in something. Her team played in the state golf tournament in Austin about 3 weeks ago. The first day was a little rough but she did a great job the second day. It was fun to be there to watch her play, cheer her on, and fun to watch as their team took 4th in the whole state of Texas. Good Job Britty, and thanks mom and dad for allowing us to be there for it!

Mr.and Mrs.Tyler Large

On May 3rd, Sandra was married in the New Port Temple. I was lucky to be there for it, and be part of the wedding party. It was so so much fun and it was well worth the trip. Having to travel on a plane and still in the sick stage of pregnancy made it a little difficult but like i said it was well worth it. She looked so pretty and they looked so happy. It was was fun to be able to go and see her get married in the temple. She was just glowing and you could tell how much he cares for her!! They will definitely be a great couple, and good for each other.

Finally Pictures

These are the pictures from when Nat, Kari and Bixente were here at Bridal Veil Falls and the house!
