Our Naughty Little Boy

Josh went to the restroom, came back and couldn't find Lincoln! He was back behind the rocking chair and end table in the living room, right where all the cords are. The kid loves to find cords and play with them. Not too scary yet because he no teeth but a little scary because its all electrical cords. Be ready mom and dad, its time to baby proof!!!!
Then this morning I hear Lincoln, so I go into his room to get him! I come in and this him on his knees holding onto the top of the crib... I think its about time to move the crib down!
My favorite about all of this is that when you catch him, he gives you the biggest smile like he knows he got caught but if he gives you a smile then its okay!!

Fathers Day and Birthday

I know everyday we should show how much we love and appreciate our dad's but what a great day to really express how grateful we are. Josh and I are so lucky to have the dad's we have and the support we have from both of them. Josh and I have been lucky because we have been able to grow close to each others dad's and grow a respect and love for them as well. Something most can't say, so we feel very lucky!
It was really fun for me to celebrate fathers day for Josh... we let him sleep in, and then made breakfast when he was ready for it! Lincoln got him some new clippers(mainly b/c ours are so bad) but then we wanted to do something that would be fun for him to have. I know we will have more kids but Lincoln was the first to make Josh a dad, so i wanted something for his first official fathers Day! So we set up the table with pictures of Lincoln and Josh together and then made a new frame that has pictures of them around it!
2 days later we celebrated Josh's Birthday, with brownies and drinks, at the softball field... that is where we are most of this days anyways. Then over the weekend Josh's mom watched Lincoln as we went out for dinner for the first time just he and I since Lincoln was born. As much as we love Lincoln it was so nice... I am so grateful for Josh and all he does! One of the things I have always loved most about Josh and especially when we were dating was how much he loves kids. Now that we have Lincoln its even more! He is such a great dad who is always willing to help and seeing him with Lincoln is so endearing. I love him for his accoplishments and his accoplishments to come. The goals he has set and moving forward with them no matter what has come in the way. I love him for his testimony of the gospel and desire to always be better. I couldn't have a better best friend and I could never imagine life without him! Happy 28th Birthday Baby!!! ;-)

Lincoln's First Haircut

Finally we decided to give Lincoln a haircut! Well not me, but Chrsity did! It was getting a little long and has been about due for a few weeks now! It turned out so cute, and he did such a good job. He played with anything he could find to keep himself occupied. He had soap to the mouth a little earlier than we ever thought but that's what he choose to suck on. Oh and for all the mom's out there don't worry I saved the hair and for the dad's... its really not that weird!

One Cougar to another!!

Finally we have made our decision for Law school! We have decided to go to the University of Houston. When we started trying to decide it wasn't one of our top choices of schools, but it ended up feeling like the best place for our family to be. Everything kept pushing us back to Houston and it became too obvious to not decide to go there! We are excited to go and live by my mom, dad, grandma, pompom and other friends and family I left behind! But I will have to say its not an easy thing to do! I think any time Josh and I talk about leaving Utah, sad to say but there are not dry eyes! We have come to love it here and love being around a lot of our brothers and sisters! It Has not really set in yet but I know saying bye to everyone here will be one of the hardest things for us to do. We are so excited and a little nervous for the move but can't wait to finally settle in and allow Houston to be home for us.

Talking Away!!

At first I was not sure if he would keep talking if he saw the camera, but he was not shy today, just talking away! This is Lincoln most mornings, we just love it and eat it up!

Swimming Pool

Lioncoln Loves his baths, so we figured he had to love the pool! We took him to that pool around the corner from our house and he was so cute. At first he had this scall on his face and didn't know what was going on. Then he figued out he was in water and started splashing around! It was so cute and fun to take him outside and get a little color for the both of us!

Push-ups and Scooting Around

So Lincoln has started to kind of scoot himself around... Josh has been practicing with him a lot during the day! It is so funny because he reaches his fingers for it and then when he figures he cant get it, he gets in push up position and moves himself forward! Sometimes if he does not move quick enough his momentum moves him backwards! It is so cute to watch, but it worries me how close he is to crawling and being mobile!!
